Katie, a freelance video editor in desperate need of work, receives a high-paying offer from an anonymous employer to edit a mysterious and strange video. Having no money and risking being evicted, Katie gladly accepts this job. The video shows how people are interrogated and even killed on camera – undoubtedly, this is just a carefully thought-out fabrication. But when her first job leads to even more lucrative work and frighteningly realistic crime films, Katie’s life begins to crumble. Strange characters in her apartment, terrible nightmares that keep her awake, and a mysterious illness that afflicts her cat. Only when Kathy decides to finally quit her job, she learns how cruel her anonymous employer really is and how far she is willing to go to break the contract.
